DC reviews NFSA implementation; 100% updation achieved

Udhampur, Jan 11: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, today reviewed the progress achieved for implementation of National Food Security Act in the district.
District Udhampur has registered 100% updation of families on the online ration card database with forms of all 1,24,000 families comprised of 5.85 lakh souls uploaded in a record time after an extensive filed exercise completed last month.
The DC reviewed the fidelity check conducted at depot level by concerned Tehsildars and Tehsil Supply Officers for ensuring accuracy and authenticity at depot level.  He directed the Tehsildars to conduct a fresh exercise at their level and re-check the data at their level and ensure 100% accuracy of details. He informed that Director CAPD has been asked for issuing at least 1.20 lakh ration tickets for distribution among the families in entire district immediately.
Dr Shahid also complemented the field staff of Revenue, CAPD and officials of NIC and associated IT operators for accomplishment of the mammoth task in a record time and completion of 100% coverage on the ration card data base making the District Udhampur to achieve first position on this front and hoped that due care will be given to the accuracy check at all the levels.
Priority and Non-Priority quota proportionate to the population covered by the depots has been allocated to the Tehsildars for ensuring coverage of all deserving families and spill over from such families which have moved out of BPL was asked to used by remote and hilly area inhabitants of Chenani, Dudu, Basantgarh, Garhsamnabanj, Panchari, Moungri, Latti and other similarly placed habitations.
Chief Education Officer has provided staff for fidelity re-check and scrutiny of records at verification and data entry level while community information centers of RDD are being utilized for necessary corrections.
ACD Joginder Singh Rai, ACR Rajiv Magotra, CEO Bishen Singh, AD-CAPD Aamir Choudhary, Tehsildars and TSOs of district Udhampur attended the meeting.
