SRINAGAR, June 26: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah today visited Chatti Padshahi Gurdwara at Rainawari to review the arrangements made for celebration of birth anniversary of the sixth Sikh Guru, Guru Hargobind Ji’s on June 29.
The DC while taking an on-the-spot review of arrangements at the Gurdwara where thousands of devotees from various districts are expected to join the celebrations and attend the Shabad Kirtan in honour of the revered Guru, directed all concerned departments to ensure all arrangements so that the festival is celebrated in its full color.
He instructed for ensuring hassle-free traffic and parking arrangements and uninterrupted supply of power and water and directed the concerned departments to ensure sanitation and immediate repairing of defunct lights, if any, in and around the Gurdwara.
Dr Shah also directed the concerned department to provide four quintals of rice to the Gurdwara Langar offering free food to devotees during the course of the celebrations.
The DC also instructed the SRTC to make adequate number of buses available at Baghat, Alochi Bagh and Jawahar Nagar so that devotees face no inconvenience traveling to Chatti Padshahi.
