JAMMU, Aug 25: Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Simrandeep Singh today participated in second Tehsil Divas programme which was jointly held for Khour and Kharrah Balli tehsils in the Office of the SDM Khour.
A large number of people from both the tehsils participated in the event. All Revenue officers of the tehsils including the SDM, Khour, Rakesh Kumar, the Tehsildars of Khour and Kharrah Balli and all Naib Tehsildars, Girdawars and Patwaries attended the office.
Sarpanches of all the Panchayats of these two tehsils accompanied the people of their respective areas in projecting their demands. Various problems like rental compensation of requisitioned land, compensation for damages due to floods, issues pertaining to PDD etc were raised by the people.
MLA Khour, Dr Krishan Bhagat was personally present to highlight the issues of the locals. Later, the MLA and DC visited Pallanwala to assess the pace of demining work being carried out by Indian Army.
The next Tehsil Divas will be held on September 3 at R S Pura.
