REASI, Jan 30: In view of the upcoming Mahashivratri Mela-2019, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar Dattatray Doifode to review arrangements for the fair to be organised at Shiv Khori Shrine.
The DDC discussed in detail the arrangements being put in place for the religious event with the district officers, social workers and prominent citizens of the district. He informed that around 2 lakh devotees are expected to throng the shrine in the 3-day holy fair which will be conducted from 3rd to 5th of March, 2019.
The meeting reviewed arrangements like sanitation, traffic plans, medical facilities, cultural programmes, cloak room facility, security, water supply etc. It was decided that Nodal Officers will be appointed for monitoring of the 3-day festival.
Those present at the meeting included ADDC, Ramesh Chander; DySP, Nikhil Gogna; ACR, Vivek Puri; Tehsildar Pouni, Raj Baru and others.
