POONCH, May 1: DDC Poonch, Rahul Yadav today visited village Mankote to meet the family members of deceased person who lost his precious life during Pak shelling last night at Mankote.
Yadav was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police, Poonch Ramesh Angral, SDM Mendhar Sahil Jandiyal and SDPO Mendhar, Neeraj Sharma.
During the visit, DDC gave rupees one lakh under ex- gratia/ relief and Rs 10,000 under Red Cross to the family members of the deceased who lost his life due to cross border firing. The deceased was identified as Mohd Gulfraz (18), son of Mohd Rahid, from Mankote.
The DDC also gave Rs 5,000 to the injured person namely Zaffar Iqbal of Mankote under Red Cross.
