UDHAMPUR, JUNE 03: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa today conducted a public outreach-cum-grievances redressal camp at multi-sports playfield, Sewna to address the issues and concerns of the people and ensure prompt redressal of public grievances.
The camp was attended by IAS Probationer Dr. Shagun Singh; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Umesh Shan; Assistant Commissioner Development Om Parkash; Sub-Divisional Magistrate Chenani Dr. Ranjeet Singh Kotwal; district and sectoral officers; former PRI representatives and a large gathering of people from Sewna and adjoining Panchayats.
During the interaction, former PRI members and locals projected several demands and highlighted issues affecting the area. Key demands raised included the permanent restoration of Kera Bridge, meeting shortage of drinking water, renovation of local roads, introduction of Science Stream at GHSS Pakhlai, establishment of a Kendriya Vidyalaya at Dhar Gadiya, promotion of the area as a tourist destination, redressal of land compensation issues, adequate staff in government schools, opening of a bank branch, measures to end monkey menace, establishment of a First Aid Sub-Centre and ambulance facility at Bant village, construction of an overhead footbridge and ensuring uninterrupted power supply.
Earlier, officers and officials from various government departments educated the public about different welfare schemes and flagship programmes being implemented by the government and encouraged eligible beneficiaries to come forward and avail advantage of these initiatives.
