POONCH, Aug 4: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today held a public grievance redress camp, at border block Balakote under the weekly Block Diwas program.
The programme was organised by the RDD and attended by PRI members and a large number of people from the adjoining areas. They raised various issues including, ambulance and female doctor for PHC Balakote, up gradation of High School Sandote, un interrupted supply of power and water, opening of Girls Higher secondary School for Border belt of Balakote, compensation for crops destroyed due to rain, renovation of school buildings destroyed by shelling, starting of work on already sanctioned Dharati receiving station, construction of bunkers, Completion of all ongoing PHE schemes, renovation of PHC Sandote, Compensation or job for those whose lands have been acquired to construct PHE Tanks, to make Balakote a Sub Division and various other development related issues were discussed.
Responding to the demands, the DDC assured the public that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner. He directed the officers to work in coordination so that equitable development of all panchayat is ensured in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner announced ambulance for PHC Balakote and other grievances were redressed on the spot. Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr. Vinod Kumar; SDM Mendhar, Dr. Sahil Jandial; CEO Tourism, Dr. Mohd. Tanveer; SDPO, Mendhar, ACD, Poonch, Rajesh Lakhan, Executive Engineers, BDO, Tehsildar, PRI Members besides all concerned officers and prominent citizens were present.
