DC Poonch takes stock of LoC villagers’ problems

POONCH, Apr 6:  Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet  today chaired a public grievances redressal camp at the Community Centre of LoC Village Sangiote in block Balakote  under the Block Divas Program.
On the occasion, PRI members and general Public from the adjoining areas projected a number of demands including, adequate power and water supply, especially during Ramadan, up-gradation of High School Sanjyote, early completion of Health centre building Sanjyote, Anganwari Centre for Sanjyote, development of tourism infrastructure, up-gradation of Power transmission network in the area, blacktopping of road from Bhatadhuria to Sanjyote, construction of road from Chhaber to Golnari in panchayat Chandyal, Hand Pumps for Chandyal & Sanjyote, up-gradation of High School Sanjyote and several other development related issues.
Responding to the demands, the DDC assured the public that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner. He directed the officers to work in coordination so that equitable development of all Panchayats was ensured.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to people and PRIs to cooperate with the administration to achieve the targets in terms of development and stressed for making the best use of funds provided to each Panchayat by making comprehensive plans.
The Deputy Commissioner also proposed a mechanism under which officers/representatives from all the departments shall set at a common place and listen to the grievances of the common man, so that the public does not have to go from department to department to resolve  their issues.
SDM Mendhar,  Dr. Sahil Jandyal, ACD, Poonch, Abid Hussain Shah, CEO Tourism, Dr. Mohd. Tanveer, SDPO, Mendhar,  Executive Engineers, BDO’s Tehsildar’s PRI Members besides all concerned officers and prominent citizens were also present.
