DC Poonch reviews progress on land acquisition

POONCH, May 19: Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, Inder Jeet, today reviewed the progress of land acquisition for up-gradation, 4-lanning the stretch of NH144A in Poonch district, here at a meeting of concerned officers.
The meeting was attended by collector land acquisition defence Rajouri-Poonch range, Salim Quarshi, officer commanding 79RCC, and tehsildar headquarter Jahanghir Khan.
In the meeting village wise progress of land acquisition pertaining to NH-144A vis a vis the existing status of land acquisition of double lanning was reviewed in detail.
The collector land acquisition defence informed that the land acquisition for double lanning has been completed in geographical boundaries of village Bata Dhurian, Kallar Mohara,Jarran wali gali, Surnkote,Samote, Potha, Sanai, Dhundak, Nabana and near Kalai bridge and while the process of disbursement of land compensation was nearing completion.
Regarding the status of land acquisition for 4 lanning , it was given out that draft notifications are in ready position in respect of village Bhata Dhurian, Kallar Mohara,Jaran wali gali, Surnkote,Samote,Sanai, Dhundak, Nabana and Sehri Chowana.
In this regard, the DC directed the concerned to cross check the draft notifications before uploading the same on BOOHMI RASHI portal without any delay.
For the villages where land papers have been returned for re-verification, the Deputy Commissioner passed the instructions to tehsildars concerned to complete the exercise and ensure timely submission of revenue papers before 25th of May.
Taking the notice of query raised by the BRO authorities of not showing the lanes in draft notifications, the DC directed the collector land acquisition defence to provide authenticated map to BRO of the land which had already been acquired for double lanning so that chances of double acquisition, if any are checked .
For the fresh acquisition of land for four lanning of NH- 144A connecting the alignment villages like Chanduck, Dingla, Jannyar, Nangali, Kankote and Sher Khas, the DC directed the concerned revenue authorities to complete the draft notifications within two days for approval and also submit pending revenue papers before 21 May so that early execution of work on the vital road project takes place.
Taking strong notice of delay in disbursement of compensation, the DC directed the collector to follow all the pending cases and complete the process at the earliest for smooth execution of work on important government projects.
