DC penalizes 3 Govt employees, inspects development works

RAJOURI, Aug 27: District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat today conducted surprise inspection of schools, Government offices and health centers to check work culture and ensure punctuality of staff in Government institutions besides inspection of some development works.
During the maiden inspection, the new DC inspected work on bailey bridge at Ghambir Brahmana. He exhorted upon the executing agency to ensure that the work is completed within the stipulated time frame, as the bridge is a single connecting link for number of adjacent border villages with population above 15000.
Mr Bhat then paid surprise visit to Govt Higher Secondary School, Manjakote and reviewed the ongoing educational activities, which were found satisfactory.
At PHC Manjakote, the DC interacted with the patients and enquired about the facilities being provided to them. While inspecting the construction work at PHC, he directed the executing agencies to expedite the pace of work.
Taking serious note on absenteeism of three staff members at PHC Manjakote, the DDC directed the concerned BMO to seek explanation from the absentees and take departmental action.
The DC also visited the District Hospital, Rajouri and took on spot assessment of the quality of work. He instructed the CMO for shifting into newly constructed block after the completion of remaining work immediately. Mr Bhat also directed the engineers of JKPCC to complete the remaining construction work as early as possible so that the additional block would be dedicated to the people of the area. Later, the DDC also paid visit to the construction site of alternate Abdullah bridge.
He was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Veer Jee Hangloo.
