KATRA, Aug 9: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Shabir Ahmad Bhatt paid a surprise visit to the Sub District Hospital Katra and found doctors absent.
Taking strong notice of this, Bhatt instructed the BMO to initiate strict disciplinary action against the absent doctors. Dr Raj Rishi Sharma and Dr Neelu Sharma, who were found absent during duties hours, have been issued notices to explain their positions.
Taking tough stand and acting on various complaints received by the office of Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Bhatt warned the employees and said “Work culture among employees is my priority and strict action will be taken against the erring employees”.
During his tour to Katra, Bhatt also paid surprise visit to Government Higher Secondary School, Katra and reviewed ongoing educational activities of the institution.
Later in a meeting to review the initiatives to ensure the ban on use of polythene in Katra, the base camp of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Bhatt directed Executive Officer Municipality Katra and First Class Magistrate (Tehsildar) Katra to carry our frequent market checking and the officers have been asked to submit timely reports certifying that no polythene carry bags are being used in the areas of their jurisdiction.
