DC pays surprise visit at PHE store, inspects inventory

KATHUA, Sept 5: In order to take firsthand account of inventory of PHE department, Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Raghav Langer today paid surprise visit at PHE store located at Krishna Colony.
The DC asked for an explanation from the JE (Store Officer) who was found unauthorizedly absent from the duty.
The DC found that there is sufficient stock of water pipes, alum and bleaching power stocked in the store building. He ordered verification of physical status of PHE pipes with the proposed/ongoing Water Supply Schemes, where these pipes will be utilized. He also asked to verify the stock of alum and bleaching powder with the inventory.
DC asked for overall scrutiny of the inventory of PHE store so that optimal utilization of the available stock items can be ensured for proper functioning of ongoing and new water supply schemes.
