JAMMU, Sept 22: Deputy Commissioner, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today conducted a surprise inspection of the Government Hospital Sarwal.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the inventory of crucial supplies and medications available in the hospital. He examined the hospital’s operations, administrative areas and toured various sections, including the Dengue Ward and Emergency Ward.
The DC paid special attention to the Jan Aushadhi store within the hospital, instructing Medical Superintendent Dr. Vijay Raina to conduct a prescription audit of its sales to ensure transparency. He also stressed that the public should be encouraged to buy the medicines from the Jan Aushadhi Stores as much as possible.
Furthermore, the DC assured to provide arthroscopic surgical equipment for minimally invasive procedures, benefiting patients who may not afford such surgeries outside government hospitals.
In a meeting with the hospital staff, he commended their performance and stressed the importance of punctuality, diligence and dedication to public service.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Harbaksh Singh was also present during the inspection.
