KISHTWAR, July 2: In wake of the upcoming annual Machail Yatra to the Mata Chandi Machail shrine, a meeting to finalize the arrangement was convened by Deputy Commissioner (DC), Angrez Singh Rana today.
In the meeting, the members of the Sanstha apprised the DC about the schedule of the yatra which will start from July 25, 2018 and langer facilities for the devotees that will start functioning at various places.
DC directed the concerned departments to ensure fool proof security besides ensuring availability of drinking water, electricity, street lights, firewood, gas cylinders, ration supply, electric generator, medical facilities and telephone facilities at every halt viz ambulance, fire extinguishers, temporary toilets facilities and sufficient number of vehicles for the devotees’ upto the Gulabgarh Paddar.
The Sanatan Dharam Sabha gave the details of the areas where the services of district administration and police are required for smooth and successful culmination of the yatra.
DC assured the Sabha that all the arrangements regarding security, sanitation, medical facilities, drinking water and yatra route will be put in place. However, tight security measures were also formulated by SSP Kishtwar.
Meanwhile, DC requested the members if Sanatan Dharam Sabha to keep the vicinity and route of yatra neat and clean so that the pilgrims would feel better during pilgrimage. They were requested to circulate that no person would be allowed to use polythene bags during the yatra.
ACD Kishtwar was also directed to spread the message of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by circulating pamphlets and instruct to paste “No Use of Polythene Bags”.
Rana also directed to SDM Padder to fix the rates of temporary vendors’ enroute to yatra and get them register in the concerned office.
NHPC authorities will ensure the installation of mobile bathrooms enroute to yatra and asked them to communicate with the members of sabha during installations of the same, DC directed.
