DODA, Dec 8: A grand felicitation ceremony was held at Rana Mall, Doda, to honour 22 National-level and 52 UT/Divisional-level athletes for their achievements in sports such as SGFI Cricket, JKCA Cricket, Archery, Shooting, Boxing, Basketball, and Rifle Shooting.
The event was graced by Harvinder Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Doda, who praised the athletes for their dedication and expressed strong support for improving sports infrastructure in the region. Dr. Arjun Singh, Physical Director at GDC Kastigarh, also lauded the young sports talents.
Special thanks were extended to Bharat Bhushan Chandail, Director of Dronacharya Chenab Sports Academy, and the academy’s coaches for their guidance and mentorship. The ceremony was coordinated by Vinod Bandral. The event served as an inspiration for the youth, motivating them to strive for excellence and contribute to Doda’s growing sports culture.
