DC directs quick disposal of land compensation cases

KATHUA, Oct 13: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Ramesh Kumar has asked all Collectors to quickly dispose off the land compensation cases of acquired land of the people so that the sanctioned and ongoing projects executed under various schemes get completed within stipulated time frame.
DC gave these directions while chairing a meeting of officers from revenue and other concerned departments.
DC instructed Collectors to conduct special camps in villages to resolve various issues and ensure disbursement of the compensation among the land and property owners at the earliest, whose land and property have been acquired for carrying out various developmental works.
Various issues related to land acquisition under PMGSY, and other land acquisition cases in which the draft and final award have been issued besides scheme wise details, amount of compensation received and disposed off were also reviewed in the meeting.
The meeting discussed land acquisition cases related to Border Observation Posts (BoPs), 33 roads projects under PHASE 10th of PMGSY, land measuring 2886 kanals 14 marlas of 5 villages of Ghatti Industrial Complex, National Highway, Toll Plaza, Medical Sub-Centre (Katal Brahamana), Satellite Fruit and Vegetable Market at Taraf Manjli and other projects.
The meeting was attended by ADC Kathua, Dr Bharat Bhushan, ACR Kathua Jitendra Mishra, SDM’s of Hirangar, Basohli, Bani, Billawar and others.
