Kargil, April 25, 2024: Deputy Commissioner/District Election Officer, Kargil, Shrikant Suse today reviewed the preparations for Election Expenditure Monitoring for Lok Sabha Elections-2024 at office premises of the Expenditure Monitoring Cell.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions held on various aspects related to expenditure monitoring during the LS elections in the district.
CCF, LAHDC, Kargil/Chief Nodal Officer, Expenditure Monitoring Cell, Iftikhar Hussain presented a details related to preparations related to the Expenditure Monitoring.
Expenditure monitoring cell has been activated under overall guidance of DEO Kargil consisting Flying Squads,static surveillance Teams, video surveillance and video viewing teams as well as accounting team.
DEO directed to intensify social/electronic and print media monitoring by Media certification and monitoring committee and expenditure monitoring cell to ensure timely detection of paid news and any violations related to election expenditure and MCC.
DEO interacted with all the teams formed related to expenditure monitoring and stressed on strict compliance to directions issued by ECI.
DEO also sought details from banks about any suspicious transactions on daily basis.
He also directed to intensify vehicle checking across the district at all entry points and locations to curb illegal movement of money, arms as well as liquor.
Printing of Election related pamphlets/posters shall also be monitored as per norms of ECI.
