REASI, MAY 27: To take stock of the ongoing developmental works and mega projects being executed under different sectors, Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakhwal today conducted a day long extensive tour of remote areas of Mahore.
En-route, the DC also inaugurated Smart Class Room in High School Jamlan. She inspected the execution of work of Government Higher Secondary School Mahore taken up under ABDP and Solid liquid waste management shed in CHC Mahore.
The DC also visited Government Degree College Mahore where she interacted with the staff members and students.
Interacting with the locals, the DC said that roads and bridges are the lifeline for an area, as the good roads automatically boost the economic growth.
During the tour, the DC also inaugurated the approach road to Budhnar Bridge on PMGSY Bal to Shibras road.
The bridge acts as a lifeline for around 15 thousand people of the area. Executing agencies were directed to expedite the progress and ensure its timely completion.
The DC stressed on the concerned officers to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of all ongoing works for their time-bound completion and directed for regular monitoring of works.
Later, the DC also reviewed the progress of RAM, BMG roads with the GREF authorities. She also inspected work on Ganjote to Bhallar via Tharal Shikari road and inspected 115 mtr span bridge on Ans River at Ganjote.
She also visited High School Tharal and interacted with the students and teachers there. A reading room constructed under the RDD sector was also inaugurated in the school.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by BDC chairperson Shahida Parveen; SDM Mahore, Mazahir Hussain Shah; Executive Engineer, PMGSY, Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti, Chief Education officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, SDPO Mahore, local DDC Member, PRIs and locals.
