JAMMU, Mar 11: In a Public Interest Litigation challenging Jammu and Kashmir State Lands (Vesting of Ownership to the Occupants) Act, for being unconstitutional, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir and Justice BS Walia today directed the State to file response.
After hearing petitioner Ankur Sharma in person, DB directed Chief Secretary, Commissioner Secretary Law and Revenue Secretary to ensure appearance through some Additional Advocate General and also directed to file response before next date of hearing.
“In case of any further default, Commissioner Secretary Revenue shall remain present personally”, the DB directed.
