JAMMU, Nov 20: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by one Varun Jamwal regarding recruitment of Gang Coolies by Public Works Department, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan today directed Secretary PWD to file status report or appear in person.
After hearing Advocate HC Jalmeria appearing for the PIL whereas AAG Seema Shekhar with Deputy AG DS Jamwal for the State, DB observed, “order dated September 18, 2014 requiring the respondents to file status report has not been complied with as such it is directed that the status report shall be filed within four weeks failing which the Commissioner Secretary to Government, PWD Department (R&B) shall remain present in person”.
