JAMMU, Oct 6: In a Public Interest Litigation filed by JKNPP supremo Bhim Singh alleging transfer of 623 kanals and 10 marlas of forest land to the JDA for construction of a colony at Sidhra, Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Hasnain Massodi and Justice BS Walia today directed Additional Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department to file affidavit in terms of earlier order.
In the earlier order, the DB had directed for filing affidavit stating therein the present status of the land with break up having regard to the person/persons in possession of the land. “The reports shall also indicate the steps taken for retrieving the land”, the DB had also directed.
After hearing Advocate HC Jalmeria for the petitioner whereas Senior AAG SS Nanda appearing for the State, DB directed Additional Secretary to Housing and Urban Development Department to file affidavit in terms of earlier order.
