DBPS organizes symposium on Parshuram Jayanti

JAMMU, Apr 17: In connection with Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti celebrations, Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, today organized a symposium in its premises here at Parade, under the chairmanship of Vaid Parkash Sharma, president of the Sabha.
In this symposium, about 70 students from various educational institutions including Shiksha Niketan, Bhartiya Vidya Mandi, SD Tara Puri, Maharishi Vidya Mandir and Yogananda College participated and spoke on the life and teachings of Lord Parshuram.
Keshav Verma, student of Maharishi Vidya Mandir got 1st prize in the symposium while Manali Badhan of SD Tara Puri and Avneet Sharma of Shiksha Niketan were 2nd and 3rd winners, respectively.
Abhishekh, Rashu Sharma, Janvi Sharma, Ajay Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Khashva, Sonal, Tamanna, Ankita Koushal, Vanshika, Suvanshika and Tarun Sharam, were the winners of consolation prizes.
Those on dais were Chander Mohan Sharma (convener, Tawi Andolan), Ashok Khajuria (MLC), Vikram Randhawa (MLC), Advocate PC Sharma and Rita Sharma (Principal, Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Sainik Colony).
Chander Mohan Sharma and Vikram Randhawa also spoke on the relevance of the teaching of Lord Parshuram in the present era.
Among those present on the occasion included Pt VM Magotra, Satyanand Sharma, Jagan Nath Sharma, Subash Shastri, Romesh Sharma, Satpal Sharma, Satpal Khajuria, Surinder Sharma, Kuldeep Modi and many others.
