JAMMU, Mar 2: Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice M M Kumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur has issued notice to the Revenue and Police Departments in the alleged land encroachment in Trikuta Nagar Extension area.
“A report dated November 3, 2013 shows that spot verification was carried out jointly by the Revenue authorities and by the officers of the Vigilance Organization”, the DB observed after hearing counsels for the petitioner and Advocate General M I Qaidri appearing for the State.
“During the course of the inspection, it was found that the Latha on the basis of which demarcation was made is in fact fake as such the police immediately seized the Latha”, the DB said while issuing notice to Revenue and Police Departments for filing their response with regard to specific averments within a period of two weeks.
The DB directed the Registry to list the petition on March 11, 2014.
