JAMMU, Oct 12: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Dina Nath and others seeking direction for shifting Government Degree College Majalta from Government Middle School Baryalta to Government Higher Secondary School Majalta, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan has directed State to file objections within four weeks failing which its right to file the same shall stand closed.
In the PIL, the petitioners have prayed for holding an enquiry as to under what circumstances Government Degree College at Majalta which could have been made functional from Government Higher Secondary School Majalta is being operated from three class rooms of Government Middle School Baryalta.
Due to operation of Degree College from three class rooms of Government Middle School Baryalta, the students studying in Middle School Baryalta have been shifted to private residence, the petitioners said.
