JAMMU, Oct 28: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Advocate Shivan Mahajan against child abuse, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey and Justice BS Wali today directed the Chief Secretary to constitute a committee for examining the issues raised in the petition.
After hearing Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi with Advocates Veenu Gupta, Ravi Abrol and Parimoksh Seth for the petitioners, DB issued notice to the Chief Secretary, Commissioner/ Secretary Social Welfare Department, Principal Secretary Home Department, Secretary Law & Justice and DGP returnable before December 3.
The DB also directed Chief Secretary to constitute a committee for examining the issues raised in the petition and the committee shall submits its original report within one month.
