JAMMU, July 12: Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Virender Singh and Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir today allowed two weeks time to the State to file the list of defaulters of Sales Tax arrears.
Advocate Rahul Chopra, Liaison Officer Commercial Taxes Department moved an application on behalf of Deputy Commissioner Commerical Taxes (Recovery) seeking extension of time for compliance of order dated June 15, 2012 whereby Chief Secretary was directed to file within two weeks the list of those persons from whom recovery has been effected with effect from April 1st, 2011 till the date of the filling of the status report.
After hearing Additional Advocate General Gagan Basotra appearing for the respondents and Liaison Officer, Commercial Taxes Department, the DB granted two weeks time for compliance of earlier order.
