David Bowie to be honoured at Cfda awards

LONDON, Mar 18:  David Bowie is set to be posthumously honoured at the upcoming CFDA Fashion Awards in New York on June 6.
The “Starman” hitmaker, who passed away in January, was known for his outlandish stage looks and fashion-forward wardrobe picks    , reported Contactmusic.
Big Apple-born fashion designer Donna Karan will receive the Founder’s Award for her contributions to the industry, 12 years after accepting the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004, while Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele will be presented with the International Award, and Norma Kamali will pick up the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award.
Lady Gaga’s stylist, Brandon Maxwell, is nominated for the Swarovski Award for Womenswear, and former child stars-turned-fashion icons Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will compete for double accolades. (PTI)
