The Darbar Move is an annual feature. This move not only is a burden on State exchequer but also a wastage of time. This practice which was started by Maharaja Ranjeet Singh was justified at that time as there was no road connectivity as it exists now-a-days. During those days it was impossible to look after those masses who remained far from the sight of administrative units. Then there were harsh climatic conditions. The situation has improved much since then. Therefore, it is quite sagacious that this annual to and fro movement should be stopped.
It is suggested that the employees of the two divisions should stay at their own places, and instead of moving employees HODs and ministers should move to supervise the functioning of the departments.
