JAMMU, Dec 26: Democratic Azad Party (DAP) Provincial Committee meeting was held here today under the chairmanship of Jugal Kishore Sharma (Prov head), wherein the members chalked out action plan to strengthen the units.
Party general secretary, RS Chib was the chief guest while Abdul Majid Wani (gen secy) guest of honour. The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by Ashok Sharma, Provincial vice president.
As many as 39 participants presented their view point and offered their service for the party 24X7, circulation of talking point, constitution of committees at grass root level with time frame, institutionalization of multi-level setup to give full backup to front line cells, departments, and the frontal organizations, vigorously raising of public issues and insuring their redressal to combat mis-governance of the ruling dispensation.
All the participants pledged to fight for the mission to get restored statehood, land and job rights for the natives, restoration of land rights granted under Roshni Scheme during Ghulam Nabi Azad Government, revival of old pension scheme, regularization of daily wagers, SPO’s Anganwadi workers and helpers, increase honorarium of Lamberdars and Chowkidars, Panches and Sarpanches, DDC Members and BDC Chairmen’s, implement orders of establishment of new Tehsils, Niabats, blocks and police stations, full and final payment of compensation (25 lakhs each) to refugees, ownership rights to locals for State, Nazool and other lands. appointment of Lok Pal to curb corruption and ensure good governance.
Among those who addressed the meeting were Salmari Nizami, SC Gupta, Ch Gharu Ram, PR Manhas, Zahid Sarfraz Malik, Ghulam Haider Malik, Sham Lal, Santosh Manjotra, Dr AC Bhagat, HL Abrol, Maheshwar Singh, Bishan Lal, Surinder Bhagat, Bhishan Dass, Susheel Sharma, Sardari Lal Dubey, Pritam Kotwal, Aradhna Andotra, Rajni Sharma, Gourav Chopra, Sobhat Ali, Mohd Farooq and Anoop Khajuria.
