Dalai Lama interacts with religious leaders in Leh

Calls for sense of oneness

LEH, July 23: On over a month-long visit to the Union Territory of Ladakh, Buddhist spiritual leader The Dalai Lama today visited different religious places here.
He visited Chowkhang Vihara, Moravian Church, Imam Bargah and Jama Masjid where he interacted with religious leaders on different issues.
The Dalai Lama expressed gratitude to all for such arrangements.
Stressing the need of communal harmony, the spiritual leader said that his prime object is to create a sense of oneness among seven billion humanity.
“We begin with same way and at the end die in same manner. So while we are alive, we should live with the spirit of oneness of seven billion human being,” he said.
He added that there may be little differences in different faith & religions which is minor but main thing is that all of us as human beings live together on this planet.
The Dalai Lama said that global warming is increasing which is quite serious concern and, therefore, in such period everyone should help each other.

“Entire humanity is now facing problem with global changes so we must help each other with universal responsibility and sense of brother and sister. All should live happily and try to create peaceful and happy world”, said the Dalai Lama.
The Dalai Lama had reached Leh on July 16. He is expected to be in Ladakh for over a month.
There were reports that the Buddhist leader will also undertake four-day visit to Zanskar.
