DAJ seeks FC’s intervention to save docs from harassment

JAMMU, May 12: Doctors Association Jammu (DAJ) has sought intervention of Financial Commissioner (FC), Health and Medical Education Department, J&K, Atal Dulloo, to save doctors and paramedical staff at Gandoh from harassment in the hands of the local civil administration.
In a letter addressed to FC, DAJ said Dr MA Chouhan, BMO Gandoh, who is also COVID-19 incharge for Block Gandoh, besides Dr Anzer (Incharge Sample Collection for COVID-19 at Gandoh) and two paramedical staff are staying in newly constructed Sarai of Health Department because there is no other health department accommodation available in Gandoh.
“There is one old quarter near Old Hospital, CHC Gandoh which is not in living condition while the new quarters are under construction but despite that the SDM Gandoh is harassing these doctors and paramedical staff to vacate their accommodation so that the Sarai can be used as quarantine center,” the DAJ informed the FC and appealed him to intervene into the matter allow the doctors and medical staff to stay there until new quarters are constructed.
