KATHUA, Feb 20: Daily wage workers of PHE, PDD, PWD and other departments here today staged a protest demonstration and took out a procession from Kali Bari to DC office demanding regularization of their services.
Kabla Singh, president of Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) Kathua while addressing the protesters said there is inordinate delay in the regularization of daily wagers.
He demanded amendment in SRO 202 removing things that harm interests of workers.
Among other demands raised on this occasion were hike in minimum wages to make that at par with minimum wages.
The protesters also raised slogans in favour of their demands.
Narayan Singh, District president of LPEF, Amar Nath, Saleem Ahmed, Pritam Singh, Bhushan Kumar and others were also present in the protest demonstration.
