JAMMU, Feb 16: Demanding their regularization, members of J&K All Department ITI and Non ITI Daily Rated Workers United Front held a protest demonstration in front of the Divisional Commissioner’s office, here today.
The protesting workers raised slogans against the Government and in support of their demands, which include their regularization, release of pending wages and enhancement in the wages of skilled as well as unskilled workers.
While addressing the protest demonstration, Gafoor Dar, State president of J&K National Trade Union Front, condemned the delaying tactics of Government in fulfilling its commitment over regularization of daily rated workers. He warned a massive agitation if all the workers, who have completed seven years in service, are not regularized by the Government.
Others who addressed the protesting workers, included, Tanvir Hussain, Subhash Chander, Chandan Singh, Manish Abrol, Ishfaq Ahmed, Ramesh, Barkat Kewal, Sumit Romi, Mukhtiar, Nek Alam, Joginder Pal, Inder Singh, Jeven Sharma, Rajesh Khajuria, Dushant Sudan, Deepak, Manjeet Singh, Anil Sharma, Rajinder Kumar and Sat Pal Singh.
