UDHAMPUR, Jul 15: DAH Division of the Army celebrated its 52nd Raising Day with full enthusiasm here today.
The Division traces its roots to Burma Division raised in 1904 which was later designated as 1st Burma Division & subsequently re-raised as the DAH Division at Jhansi on July 15, 1966. The Divisions Motto – ‘Daring and Hardy’ is reflective of its resolve to undertake operations anywhere and anytime.
The celebrations included host of important events like wreath laying ceremony, ‘Barakhana’, band display and painting competition to commemorate the historical milestones achieved by the division till now.
General Officer Commanding Rising Star Corps and other important military and civil dignitaries attended the ceremonies.
