JAMMU, Oct 3: On the eve of Golden Jubilee of DAH Division, tributes were paid to the martyrs at DAH War Memorial.
A wreath was laid by Lieutenant General DS Hooda, Army Commander, Northern Command, Major General Amrit Pal Singh, General Officer Commanding DAH Division, veterans and other distinguished guests.
On the occasion, Lieutenant General DS Hooda also released a commemorative First Day Postal Cover of the Golden Jubilee of DAH Division. He interacted with veterans and complemented the Puh-Chumar Trekking Expedition which covered a distance of 111 Kilometers in 10 days negotiating treacherous terrain with heights varying from 15000 feet to 18000 feet.
Hooda also applauded the Palampur-Khardungla-Palampur Motor Cycle Expedition members which covered a distance of 1500 kilometers over a period of eight days with heights varying from 15000 feet to 18000 feet.
These events were conducted as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Division.
Major General Amrit Pal Singh addressed a special Sainik Sammelan on the occasion. The celebration culminated with a special dinner attended by veterans, distinguished serving officers and officers of the civil administration.
