A remained for apple past centuries, but now it is for ATM, and also for the apple brand of computers created by Steve Jobs, (with his pic and a two liner introduction).C was for cat in the ‘ancient’ times, now C stands for cashless in present India, not for cow. Similarly D was dog in the past, now D stands for Demonetisation (explained- an act of govt to get rid of dishonest money), and dongle (small device able to connect to and used with a computer to access internet and also to protect software) and H for Hacking and also Honest money- which is explained like this- “money earned by honest means, hardwork and after paying taxes.” S is not for scissors or servant but for Social Media and Server.
Top cyber experts from USA, Bangalore, Chennai and New delhi have helped prepare this book which is being published initially in English, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi.
Tarun Vijay, author of 22 books, and a devotee of Thiruvalluvar says India is changing fast, Can we afford to live in the 19th century alphabet and do our business in 21st century? The era of annas, mounds and seers was replaced by decimal system and we adopted that smoothly. The trunk calls are gone with international roaming and letters have given way to email. Now demonetisation has changed our language, style and idioms. This book is to familiarise people of all ages- kids to adults and rural to urban with the new vocabulary of the new normal.
The book is co-authored by his daughter Shambhavi, an alumni of Fergusson college, Pune who is pursuing masters in international business.
