Jammu, Jan 6 : Chief Wildlife Warden Sarvesh Rai, today released ‘The Himalayan Avian’s” New year Calendar 2024 based on Wildlife/Nature on Saturday at Manda, Jammu. Programme was organised by J&K wildlife Protection Department Jammu and The Himalayan Avian Jointly.
This time works of 8 photographers including one budding painter from J&K were showcased in the calendar. Birds glimpse of Gharana wetland, Ranjeet Sagar Dam, Tawi River, Hokersar, Dal Lake can be seen in Calendar, beside this scene of Butterflies of Marmat Doda, award winning painting of Sanasar Lake, Himalayan Goral at Bhairo Ghati, and Royal Bengal Tiger in jambu Zoo, have also been incorporated.
On the occasion, Pushpinder Singh Charak, Social Worker, Basant Saini Chairman of Bishnah Co-operative Society were guests of honar and Rajan Gupta was the special guest. Drashan Mehra, on the behalf of The Himalayan Avian, welcomed all the guests.
The photo of the Himalyan goral clicked by Bunty Raj at Bhairo Ghatti recently, was very unique, and got place in this wildlife calendar. The photo of butterflies taken by Tahir from Doda Marmat was greatly appreciated by the people. Apart from this, photographs of birds clicked by Guldev Raj, Vanshika from jammu, Irfan Jilani and Reyan Sofi from kashmir have been published in the calendar. Royal Bengal Tiger by Amit Sharma Warden Jambu Zoo, One painting Made by Arya, the winner of Himalaya Avian Painting Competition 2023, have also been given a place.
Chief Wildlife warden J&K Sarvesh Rai congratulated the organisers for making people aware about the wildlife . He appreciated the efforts made by Himalayan Avian and congratulated wildlife photographers,painter who got space in this valuable calendar. On this Occasion, Warden Anil Attri, Warden central Arun Gupta and Ravinder Thaploo were present.
