NEW DELHI, Mar 11: Two faculty members of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK), who are part of varsity’s Innovation Club, Tuesday participated in the first meeting of the National Innovation Clubs (NICs) of Central Universities, IITs, NITs and other institutes of higher education held at Rashtrapati Bhavan here.
Afaq Alam Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Information Technology and Rashim Wadhwa, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, were among the 120 participants from around 50 institutes of the Country.
The duo presented their innovative ideas in the form of posters which were on display here yesterday  at the “Festival of Innovations” organized by National Innovation Foundation at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
While  Rashim Wadhwa proposed the dynamic model for improving the quality of higher education institutes,  Afaq Alam Khan proposed a smart system which can help traffic cops to check the document related violations hassle free.
Omita Paul, Secretary to the  President and Visitor of Central Universities,  Nobel Laureate, Professor Mohammad Younus from Bangladesh, Prof  S  K  Saha from IIT Delhi, Prof  Ajay K  Sharma, Director NIT-Delhi and Prof  Anil K  Gupta, executive vice-chairperson, National Innovation Foundation were among others present during the event.
The week-long festival was earlier inaugurated by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee on March 7.
