CUJ’s TTM Deptt holds interactive session for live projects

JAMMU, Aug 19: The Department of Tourism and Travel Management (TTM), Central University of Jammu (CUJ), today organized a one-day interactive session for live projects, in collaboration with INTACH (Jammu Chapter).
The event was organized to sensitize the students about the need to conserve and preserve the heritage and cultural legacy of J&K. SM Sahni, convener, INTACH Jammu Chapter, was the resource person.
While speaking on the occasion, Sahni emphasized the need of such programmes for current generation. He said along with knowledge base there is a need to create a socially empowered society. He announced complete support from INTACH to Central University of Jammu. Sahni informed that the Department of TTM in collaboration with INTACH was in the process of mapping the heritage sites of Jammu region.
Later during the day, Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, CUJ visited the department and expressed his satisfaction for the efforts put in by the entire faculty members. The faculty and students of Department of HRM and OB also attended the event. Live projects were allocated to the students of TTM and HRM &OB and the mentors allocated were Dr Amit Gangotia, Dr Bharti Gupta, Dr Poonam Sharma, Rahul Thakur, Ranjeet Raman, Manjeet Singh and Rabinder Singh.
