JAMMU, May 4: In accordance with the vision of CUJ to be a leading centre of higher learning, integrating culture, knowledge , philosophy, science and value system of heritage with modern and emerging concepts, skills, technology and management practices, a MoU was signed between Central University of Jammu and Indian Council of Historical Research, New Delhi.
The MoU was signed by Registrar Central University of Jammu, Col Ravi Kumar and Member Secretary ICHR, Prof Anand Shanker Singh in presence of Prof Ashok Aima, VC CUJ, heads and Deans from various departments.
Also present on the occasion were Prof B Labh, Member ICHR, Dr Suresh Sharma Research Consultant and D S Bisht. This collaboration is one step ahead for conservation, preservation and promotion of historical research across the region. As J&K has a rich cultural and historic heritage since antiquities, this collective effort will play pivotal role in exploring and enhancing the research activities in the State of J&K, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, in the field of history and allied disciplines. University has also proposed ICHR, New Delhi for establishing a Heritage and Business Museum in the campus.
