JAMMU, Apr 23: Under the patronage of Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, the Department of Tourism and Travel Management organized its weekly academic engagement, “Thursday Mind Meet”, in the form of a panel discussion on the theme “Cultural Branding through Digital Storytelling”.
The session served as a vibrant academic platform for intellectual exchange and was effectively moderated by Prof. Bharti Gupta. The panel featured eminent speaker Dr. Juhie Mohan from Big FM 92.7, along with panelists Sumiran Maheshwari and Simranjeet Kaur, Research Scholars of the Department and Sambarni and Parveen, students of MBA Tourism and Travel Management.
Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, graced the initiative through his patronage, while Prof. Vandana Sharma, Convener, Thursday Mind Meet, was also present on the occasion. The proceedings were conducted by Dr Ajay Morea as Master of Ceremony, and the formal vote of thanks was delivered by Rahul Thakur.

The panelists also discussed challenges of authenticity in digital storytelling, emphasizing that it is co-created by storytellers, communities, and audiences, and must reflect genuine cultural representation rather than commercialized portrayals. The interactive session concluded with a lively Q&A with students and research scholars, enriching academic dialogue on the subject.
