JAMMU, Jan 16: Central University of Jammu today celebrated the foundation day of Startup India, as National Startup Day.
Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), in partnership with CUJ SITE Council, a section 8 company established by Central University of Jammu to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the region, organized an idea pitching open house to celebrate National Startup Day.
22 teams of students and faculty from various streams from CUJ participated in front of a jury constituted to evaluate the ideas by IIC, CU Jammu.
Shortlisted teams are being given university aided Patent filing support to protect their IP and interested teams are to be incubated as startups at CUJ SITE COUNCIL.
Institution Innovation Council of Central University of Jammu is striving continuously to motivate students and faculties for continuous efforts towards innovation, Incubation, startups and achieving sustainability goals. This turns the students from job-seekers to employment generators.
Dr Rakesh Jha and his team in Innovation Council, with support from faculty in the Electronics Department, facilitated the event.
Prof Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor CUJ , congratulated the team for orchestrating such a remarkable event.
Dr Swarkar Sharma, Prof Vinay Kumar and Prof Yashwant Singh are founder directors of CUJ SITE COUNCIL.
The activity aims to showcase the achievements and success stories of our nation as Institute’s startups and entrepreneurs, as well as to inspire and motivate more students and faculty members to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.
On this occasion, Heads of various schools, and faculty members were present.
