JAMMU, Sept 30: J&K College Teachers Association (CTA) led by its president Dr Avinash K Gupta met Abdul Gani Malik, Minister for Higher Education.
Dr Gupta while speaking expressed resentment over the delay in settling the long pending placements of over five hundred college teachers, under Career Advancement Scheme.
Dr Avinash Kumar Gupta stressed upon the Minister to take into consideration the earlier placement orders issued between 2005 to 2009, wherein teachers with incomplete requirement of Orientation/Refresher courses, had to compulsorily complete the same within two years from the date of issue of placement orders by the Higher Education Department.
Abdul Gani Malik informed the delegation that he would shortly convene a meeting of the officials to sort out the impasse and get the placement orders issued.
Dr Avinash K Gupta was accompanied by Dr Satesh Bhan, general secretary, Prof Anjali Mahajan, vice president, Dr CK Khajuria, Dr Neeraj Gupta, Prof Seema Jamwal, Prof Jagdish Kumar, etc.
