JAMMU, May 5: J&K College Teachers Association has appealed to Lt Governor and Advisor K K Sharma for continuation of the tradition of appointment of Chairperson, Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) from amongst the Principals of the Government Degree Colleges.
In a joint statement, Dr Rakesh Jasrotia and Prof Tariq Ashai, provincial presidents of CTA for Jammu and Kashmir, said that as per the precedence in the past, Principals who possess the requisite qualifications as academician and experience in academic administration, be appointed to the post of Chairman, JKBOSE.
CTA representatives emphasized that a number of Principals from different colleges have served as Chairpersons, JKBOSE and discharged their duties expected of the post with full dedication and efficiency.
