JAMMU, July 23: Civic Safai Karamchari Union (CSKU) today held a meeting under the leadership of Sanuj Burret and discussed various issues including election of the Union.
During the meeting it was decided that henceforth the election of Municipal Employees Union would be held under the banner of Civic Safai Karamchari Union instead of Municipal Employees and Workers Union.
It was further decided in the meeting that the tenure of newly elected body would be for five years instead of present three years and the new president could also nominate members from the losing candidates.
The members also discussed various issues of municipal employees particularly of Safai Karamcharis and assumed that the Civic Safai Karamchari Union would look into all their genuine issues.
