SRINAGAR, Aug 4: Chief Secretary, Mohammad Iqbal Khandey, today chaired the periodic meeting of the Committee of Secretaries (CoS) and reviewed overall administrative functioning besides progress of various departmental initiatives.
Chief Secretary received brief regarding the performance report of departments viz-a viz- achievements registered by the departments towards their set Annual Targets for the year 2013-14 as per their RFD. He also reviewed status of RFD 2014-15.
While reviewing the progress of SMS based monitoring mechanism put in place for ongoing projects in PWD, PHE, I&FC and PDD, Mr Khandey asked the PHE and PWD to expedite the process and ensure SMS based monitoring of all works.
Chief Secretary also reviewed the progress achieved in metering of all Government establishments. He asked the PDD to seek a list of unmetered offices from the respective HoDs of each department with directions to complete the installation process at the earliest.
The Chief Secretary also reviewed the progress of various other administrative matters pertaining to filling of vacant posts, departmental enquires etc.
The meeting was attended by Financial Commissioner Industries and Commerce, Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, Principal Secretary Planning and Development, B. R. Sharma, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, B.B. Vyas, Principal Secretary Home, Suresh Kumar, Principal Secretary PDD, Arun Kumar Mehta and other Administrative Secretaries.
