JAMMU, Apr 9: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo has assured full support of the Jammu and Kashmir administration for the upcoming Adhik Mas Kumbh at Shri Martand Tirath Mattan.
The assurance came during a meeting with representatives of the Martand Tirath Trust.
During the meeting, Trust President Ashok Kumar Sidha, along with a delegation, submitted a memorandum highlighting the requirements for smooth conduct of the month-long festival.
The Chief Secretary gave a patient hearing and stressed the Government’s commitment to facilitate large religious gatherings and ensure convenience for devotees.
Dulloo also issued on-the-spot directions to the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag to start preparations immediately.
He directed the district administration to make necessary arrangements at the holy site and ensure coordination among departments to manage the expected rush of pilgrims.
The Adhik Mas Kumbh will be held at Shri Martand Tirath Mattan, covering areas including Chaka Nadi and Sangam Ghat, from May 15 to June 17, 2026.
The Trust expressed confidence that the event will be conducted smoothly with full administrative support.
