Crude palm oil futures recover on pick-up in demand

NEW DELHI, Nov 19:  Crude palm oil prices were up by 0.18 per cent to Rs 448.10 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in creating fresh positions after demand picked up in the spot market.
Expectations of lower output at major producing belts also supported the upside.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in November edged up by 80 paise, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 448.10 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 130 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in December traded higher by by the same margin to Rs 457.30 per 10 kg in 31 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by participants, driven by rising demand in the spot market against tight supplies from producing belts, mainly led to the rise in crude palm oil prices at futures trade. (PTI)
