JAMMU, Apr 21: “Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is always well prepared to counter all kinds of internal security challenges”, said Prakash Ranjan Mishra, Second-in-Command of 178 Battalion CRPF.
Mishra added that it is an established fact that wherever CRPF has been deployed across the nation, normalcy has always been restored in due course of time. “Our Officers and personnel are having high degree of patience and restraint, while dealing with unlawful assemblies in the Valley. In future as well, we will maintain the same perseverance as a peace keeper”, he added.
Mishra said this during a function organized by 166 Battalion CRPF Sidhra to felicitate him on behalf of Jammu Sector CRPF.
Mishra is the recipient of the “Shaurya Chakra” and also decorated with the most prestigious ‘President’s Police Medal for Gallantry in 2012, Police Medals for Gallantry 05 (2009, two times in 2011, 2014, 2015) Director General’s CRPF Commendation Discs 07, Director General Jharkhand Commendation Letter 06, Police Public Press National Award 02 (2014 and 2015), Zee Ananya Award 2011, Bhagirathi Shaurya Samman 2012 and ABP Bravery Award 2016.
A media interaction was also organized at 166 Battalion CRPF, Sidhra. While interacting with media persons, Ashish Kumar Jha, Commandant, 166 Battalion CRPF said, “Be it law and order problem of heavy stone pelting or counter-militancy-insurgency operations, CRPF has been one of the key performers in maintaining peace and order in the Valley”.
“Born as Crown Representative’s Police in 1939, CRPF has been the leading and most trusted Force of the Union of India. Maintenance of Internal Security of the nation is a task comprising innumerable challenging fronts and impediments. However with it’s very motto of “Service and Integrity” CRPF has always proven its firm commitment to preserve the integrity and sovereignty of our Nation”, Jha added.
