SAMBA, Dec 11:The mortal remains of martyr Sub Inspector of CRPF, Vikas Sharma who was killed in Chattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Saturday along with his four colleagues were consigned to flames with full honours at the cremation ground of Mandali near his native village Patti in Samba district today.
He was given a tearful farewell by the people of the area as well as his relatives and friends. Baring the heavy down pour a large number of people including Minister of Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga, DC Samba, Sheetal Nanda, in charge SP Samba, Raja Adel Hamid besides CRPF officers and jawans, civil and police officers participated in his funeral procession. They gave him a touching adieu.
Ganga, Sheetal Nanda and other officers laid wreaths at his body and paid rich tributes to him. While paying tributes to martyr, Ganga said that the efforts of martyrs will never go waste and the day is not far away when terrorism and moist movement will be wiped out form the country and there will be peace from all sides.
